Jan. 22 recap: Morristown-Beard, Randolph roll

Morristown-Beard 10, Madison 0

Evan Sanford scored twice and had an assist, while Tommy Matthews tallied one goal and three assists as Morristown-Beard extended its unbeaten streak to 13 with a convincing 10-0 win over Madison at Mennen Arena.

Tom Polaski, Jake Ochab, Charlie Guida and Tristan Long each had two assists for Morristown-Beard (12-2-1). Nick Vantassell added a goal and two assists in the win.

Paul Detre stopped all 13 shots to earn the shutout.

Bergen Catholic 4, Pope John 2

Despite a remarkable 53-save effort from Matiss Bars, Pope John fell, 4-2, to Bergen Catholic at the Ice House in Hackensack.

Chris Abate and Scott Vanderhoff each scored for Pope John (4-12-1), which took a 2-2 tie into the third period before surrendering two goals in the third. Alex Blaszak dished out two assists in the loss.

Randolph 5, Chatham 0

J.T. Zangara scored a goal and had two assists to lift Randolph to a 5-0 win over Chatham at Mennen Arena.

Evan Xhumba, Kyle Barbera, and Ben Yurchuk each contributed a goal and an assist for Randolph (12-2-2), which built a 4-0 lead in the first period. Nick Gallo also scored, while Gavin Einfeldt made 19 saves to secure the shutout.
