Feb. 15 recap: Madison takes 6th in a row, Goggin leads Mendham

MADISON 5, VERONA-GLEN RIDGE 2

Andrew Haralampoudis had a goal and two assists to lift Madison to its sixth-straight win, a 5-2 triumph over Verona-Glen Ridge at Codey Arena.


With the score knotted up at 1-1 going into the third period, John Rusen found the back of the net to give Madison a lead which it would not relinquish. Jacob Erickson and Tyler Shannon each recorded a goal and an assist, while Johnny Hamwee also scored.


Keaton Tom made 26 saves for Madison (7-1).


POPE JOHN 1, ST. AUGUSTINE 1

Soren Torlucci's 34-save performance helped Pope John earn a 1-1 tie with St. Augustine at Skylands Ice World.


Scott Vanderhoff gave Pope John (2-4-1) the lead early in the third period, but St. Augustine's Ryan Vaites tied the game with 6:37 to go.


Matt Lynch made 30 saves for St. Augustine (1-5-2).


MENDHAM 3, KJS UNITED 1

Mac Goggin scored twice for Mendham in a 3-1 win over KJS United at Mennen Arena.


Liam Lloyd had a goal and an assist for Mendham (2-2-2). Ian Tamboowalla and Tristan Aikenhead each dished out two assists in the win, while Tim Tamboowalla made six saves.


Brett Lewis made 48 saves for KJS United (3-7-1).
