Dec. 30 recap: Randolph, Morristown-Beard victorious

Randolph 6, Madison 0

Randolph bounced back from its first Mennen Division loss of the year with a dominant 6-0 win over Madison at Mennen Arena.

Ben Yurchuk and J.T. Zangara each scored twice for Randolph (8-2-1), which led 2-0 after two periods. Evan Xhumba and Zach Gallo each had a goal and an assist, while Kyle Barbera and Ray McNamara each had two assists in the win. Gavin Einfeldt turned away all 17 shots to secure the shutout.

Morristown-Beard 9, Montville 1

Morristown-Beard earned its seventh win in a row as it rolled to a 9-1 win over Montville at Mennen Arena.

Nick Vantassell had a hat trick and an assist for Morristown-Beard (7-2), while Seth Kaplan tallied two goals and three assists. Hollis Humphries and Cam Fernandez each added two goals and an assist. Evan Sanford and Tommy Matthews each dished out three assists, and Noah Jones and Billy Moloney added two assists.

Fair Lawn 5, Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown 3

Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown dropped a 5-3 decision to Fair Lawn in the Ice Vault Holiday Classic in Wayne.

Thomas Cioce scored twice for Mount Olive (6-3-1). Evan Parr added a goal and an assist, while Nicholas Cioce dished out two assists.
